These policies describe the Guruji Satsang Mart app and service. This informational website does not offer sign-in, bookings or payments. Highlighted contact details are awaiting confirmation.
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Guruji Satsang Mart collects about you, why, who can see it, and what you can do about it.
Guruji Satsang Mart (“the app”) is operated by Travelcafe Travel and Visa Services, a proprietorship based in Gurgaon, Haryana, India (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What we collect
What you give us
- Phone number, so we can sign you in with a one-time password (OTP).
- Profile details: your name, city and WhatsApp number.
- If you host a satsang: its title, description, date and time, city and area, an approximate map location, the private address, the expected number of guests, and the seva you need.
- If you request a seat: your request and its status. Organizers record whether each guest attended, and guests can say whether they would attend a host’s satsang again.
- If you sponsor seva: what you sponsored, the amount, GST and invoice details.
- If you are a vendor: the categories and city you serve, your quotes, your GST number (optional), and the payout details you give us so we can pay you for completed jobs.
- Delivery proof: photos or notes you upload to show a seva was delivered.
- Support and disputes: anything you write to us.
Payments
Payments are handled by a third-party payment gateway. We receive confirmation that a payment was made (transaction ID, amount and status). We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN or net-banking login.
Collected automatically
- Device type, operating system and app version, and your language setting.
- Crash reports and general usage data, so we can fix problems and improve the app.
- A notification token, so we can send you push notifications.
- IP address and timestamps, recorded by our service providers.
What we do not collect
We do not read your contacts or your other messages, we do not track your live location, and we do not collect ID documents. The app asks for camera or photo access only if you choose to attach a photo.
2. How we use it
- To verify you and keep you signed in.
- To run the marketplace: show satsangs, handle seat requests, collect vendor quotes, assign vendors, take payment and issue GST invoices.
- To confirm delivery of seva and resolve disputes.
- To show simple reliability indicators (see section 3) that help people decide whom to accept or which satsang to join.
- To send you notifications about your requests, payments and seva. Notifications are sent in English.
- To keep the app secure, prevent fraud and misuse, and fix crashes.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not show third-party advertising and we do not sell your personal information.
3. Who can see what
Different people in the app see different things. This is how we have set it up.
| Information | Who can see it |
|---|---|
| Private address of a satsang | The organizer; guests whose seat request has been accepted; the vendor assigned to deliver seva for that satsang; us. |
| Satsang title, date, city, area and approximate location | Any signed-in user browsing satsangs. |
| Organizer’s WhatsApp number | Guests whose seat request that organizer has accepted. |
| A guest’s name and attendance record (show-up rate) | The organizer reviewing that guest’s request. |
| An organizer’s “would attend again” percentage | Guests deciding whether to request a seat. Individual answers are never shown, only the overall percentage. |
| Who paid for a seva; payment and invoice details | The sponsor and us. Vendors are not told who paid. |
| A vendor’s identity and quotes | That vendor and us. Organizers and sponsors never see which vendor quoted or won, only the final price. |
| Delivery proof photos | The vendor who uploaded them, the organizer, the sponsor of that seva, and us. |
| Payment gateway and bank details | The payment gateway and us. |
4. Who we share it with
- Service providers that run the app for us: Google (Firebase and Google Cloud, for sign-in, database, file storage, notifications, crash reporting and analytics), our payment gateway, and our SMS provider for OTP messages. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
- Other users, as described in section 3.
- Authorities and courts, when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of our users or ourselves.
- A successor, if our business is transferred to someone else. They must honour this policy.
5. Where your data is stored
Our main database and file storage are hosted in Mumbai, India, on Google Cloud. Some processing by our service providers, such as sign-in, messaging and crash reporting, may take place in other countries.
6. How long we keep it
- Your account and profile: for as long as your account exists.
- Invoices and transaction records: for as long as tax, GST and accounting laws require, even after you delete your account.
- Dispute records: until the dispute is resolved and any legal time limit has passed.
- Crash and analytics data: for the periods set by the providers who process it.
When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise everything else within 30 days.
7. Your rights and choices
Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:
- ask what personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct it (you can also edit your profile in the app);
- ask us to erase it;
- withdraw your consent; and
- make a complaint to us (see section 12).
You can change the app language (English, Hindi or Punjabi) in Settings, and turn off notifications in your phone’s settings. If you withdraw consent or delete your data, we may no longer be able to provide the app to you.
8. Deleting your account
You can ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time. See how to delete your account.
9. Security
We use encrypted connections, and we restrict access so that each user can see only what section 3 says they may. Only the people who need it to run the app can access personal data. No system is completely secure, so if you notice a problem, please tell us at once.
10. Children
The app is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.
11. WhatsApp and other apps
When an organizer accepts your seat request, you can see their WhatsApp number. Anything you then say on WhatsApp is governed by WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy, and we cannot see it. Please use the number only to coordinate that satsang.
